I began my youth ministry journey in the Spring of 1992 when my husband, Dan and I, as a military family were moved to Northern Maine and connected with a church that was in need of youth leadership. Since then, I have been involved in youth ministries in voluteer, part-time, and full-time positions. I have been on staff at Fairview since September 2010.
I love student ministry for so many reasons: I love their energy and enthusiasm, I love seeing the change in their lives when God really gets ahold of them, and I get to play awesome games and act like a teenager and no one cares!
In addition to my ministry with youth, I have the awesome ministry of being the mommy to three-year-old twins! I'm so grateful for the blessings that God has brought to my life!

I have lived in Englewood since 1990, am married to kent, and we have three teenage/young adult children. We have been members of Fairview Church since 2009. I dedicated my life to Chirst in my early thirties and enjoy supporting the ministries and leaders of Fairview in my volunteer positions with children and through adminsitrative duties in the office.
Church Mulitplication Pastoral Intern

I ran from God for the first part of my life until he found me in my early teen years at Fairview. It was at this church that God showed me how much he loved me and began transforming me into the person I was born to be. I'm still on that journey today and trust I will be until I wake up made new in the Kingdom of God.
What kind of a person was I born to be, you ask? A sociable introvert (if that makes any sense), a life-long student and a lover of books, and a person with a somewhat idealistic passion for what the church can be if it will stick close to Jesus.
As for the mundane details: I was born and raised in the Dayton area, went to Northmont High School in Englewood, got a B.A. in Biblical and Religious studies from Messiah College and an M.Div. from Princeton Theological Seminary, and am now, once again, living in the Dayton area as I prepare to help Fairview plant a new congregation in East Dayton.
