What is AWANA?
The main goals of the AWANA program are to:

Reach boys and girls with the Gospel of Christ.
- Train them to serve Him.
There are Three Levels:

Cubbies Age 3-Preschool
-
Sparks K-2nd Grade
- Truth & Training 3rd - 6th Grade
What is my role as a parent in the AWANA program?
Your role is to reinforce what your clubber learns in the AWANA program, and support them as they work through their books.
When does the club meet?
The clubs meet every Wednesday night from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. starting in the Fall. The AWANA program runs through Mid-May.
What do the clubbers do during meetings?
The AWANA evening usually starts off with an opening ceremony where the kids say the Pledge of Allegiance and the AWANA Pledge. Next they sing songs of worship together before participating in the following functions throughout the night:

Handbook Time
This is when the kids will recite the verses they have learned during the previous week. After they say their verses, they can also take time to work on their handbook lessons for the following week.

Counsel Time
This is a Bible lesson in a group setting given by a qualified Bible teacher.

Game Time
This is always a favorite of the clubbers. They participate in games that are unique to the AWANA program on a special game floor. At the end of the club time, there is a closing ceremony where the directors wrap up the evening with announcements and any hand outs for the kids to take home to the parents.
What is the pick up policy?
For all Fairview Church functions, the kids need to be picked up by their parent or guardian. For safety purposes, we ask that you pick your clubber inside the church and escort them back to your vehicle.
How can I volunteer or receive more information?
You can contact Tanya Bundenthal at pastortanya@fairviewchurchbic.org or speak to any AWANA leader. You just need a heart for Kids' Ministry and a willingness to attend the weekly meetings. You will receive basic leader training to make your comfortable in your role.
