A New Location With The Same Mission
Finding God's Run Away Kids and Bringing Them Home
Jesus loved to tell stories. He told stories about kings and merchants and farmers and fathers. But of all the stories he told, none is more famous than the one pictured to the left – the story of the prodigal son. That story shows us that all of us are spiritual run aways, living lives of poverty, cruelty and want. And it shows us that we do not have to remain run aways. We have a Father who loves us despite all the wrong we've done and who is eager to bring us home again, to embrace us, feed us, and restore us to our rightful place as his children.
We at Fairview believe that the mission of the church is to join God in the search for his run-away children. God wants us to bring those still far from him news of his love and mercy, to show them, by serving them, helping them, and loving them, that they have a home with God where joy and peace can be realized in their lives.
In order to fulfill that mission, Fairview is getting ready to plant a new church in East Dayton. If you would like to be part of a community of people dedicated to God's search for his run-away kids, if you are still a run-away yourself unsure whether or not God would have you back, or if you're simply interested in hearing more, then please get in touch with me. I'd love to share with you what God is doing at Fairview as we join him in bringing news from home to all the run aways in Englewood and East Dayton.
May you live in the warmth of the Father's welcome.
A former run away,
